Recovery coaching is a collaborative, goal-oriented process that helps individuals strengthen or establish their recovery. It differs from therapy, in that it is pragmatic and ‘now’ focused.
What is recovery coaching?
Recovery coaching can help clients to overcome obstacles, develop healthy routines, and create a fulfilling life in recovery. It can provide encouragement, accountability, practical support, and guidance while helping clients identify and achieve their personal goals. Unlike sober companionship, recovery coaching is done in sessions, most often remotely.
Who can benefit from recovery coaching?
Recovery coaching can benefit individuals in early recovery, those transitioning from treatment, people returning to work or family life, or anyone seeking additional support, accountability, and guidance in maintaining recovery and emotional wellness.
Practical recovery support may also include assistance with recovery monitoring devices.
How is recovery coaching different from therapy?
Recovery coaching is solution-focused, action-oriented, and centered in the present. While therapists treat mental health conditions, recovery coaches provide practical support, accountability, motivation, and guidance as clients work toward recovery and wellness goals.
Recovery coaching often offers a greater level of accessibility and real-world support than a traditional weekly therapy model, helping clients navigate challenges as they arise in everyday life.

An intervention may help individuals and families take the first step toward treatment, recovery, and healing.
What is an intervention?
An intervention is a structured and planned process in which family, friends, and sometimes professionals collaborate to address an individual’s addiction. An intervention may help individuals and families take the first step toward treatment, recovery, and healing.
What does an intervention with Many Roads Recovery Services look like?
At Many Roads, we employ a transparent, invitation-based methodology for interventions. (Use bold for this) While traditional interventions often rely on secrecy, confrontation, and sudden surprises, we practice a different philosophy. Our model is built entirely on honesty, respect, and mutual consent. By removing the element of surprise, we lower defensiveness, reduce resistance, and preserve family trust when it is needed most.
Healing from substance use and behavioral challenges shouldn't begin with a high-stress ambush. Our collaborative, invitational approach brings families together in absolute transparency, creating a respectful path forward where your loved one is an active participant in their own healing from day one. We guide your family through a gentle, structured progression of care that prioritizes the dignity of everyone involved.
Our Graduated Family Intervention System
We utilize a specialized, multi-phase support system designed to gently but firmly guide individuals into treatment. Unlike traditional surprise interventions, this model is completely transparent and begins with a respectful invitation to heal. If your loved one is not ready to accept help in the first meeting, our structured phases allow the family network to steadily increase support and boundaries until treatment is accepted, ensuring no one is left behind.
How much does an intervention cost?
During the initial phase of intake for an intervention, we speak to the family or loved ones of the client. After discussing the details of your case, you can decide which approach would best fit your situation. We offer an all-in-one fee package or a pay as you go option, fees would depend on what approach you choose to take. Once the details of the case are discussed, we can come up with the right plan for you and your loved one. This will be followed up with an email that will contain a quote for the entire intervention process based upon the specific needs of your case.
Can the intervention happen virtually?
Yes, interventions can absolutely be facilitated virtually. Since the pandemic, virtual or hybrid interventions have become a standard, highly effective practice in the recovery industry. Because the model you are using relies on open communication and pre-planned meetings rather than a surprise "ambush," it translates perfectly to video conferencing platforms. Virtual intervention facilitation may work best for long-distance families, rapid response, and will allow families to save money on transportation costs.
Can the intervention process be a hybrid of in-person and virtual?
Yes, during our initial conversation we can discuss all the options. Once the details of the case are discussed, we can come up with the right plan for you and your loved one. This will be followed up with an email that will contain a quote for the entire intervention process based upon your specific needs.
What happens if my loved one refuses help?
If your loved one refuses help on the day of the intervention, it is not the end of the road. Because we use a multi-phased model of care rather than a cookie-cutter approach, we pivot our strategy to focus heavily on supporting and empowering the family system.
When navigating a treatment refusal, please keep the following key principles in mind:
Continued Family Support: We continue working directly with the family to shift dynamics, establish healthy boundaries, and model long-term wellness.
Planting Seeds: An intervention is often about planting seeds of recovery that may take time to grow. The conversation frequently breaks through denial and initiates a process of change that unfolds later.
A Mediated Opportunity: The meeting provides a rare, safe space for your family to clearly voice concerns and offer real, structured help without the conversation devolving into conflict.
Independent Billing Policy: The cost and payment for the intervention—whichever fee structure or delivery approach you choose—is entirely independent of whether the client agrees to seek treatment. Our professional fee covers the extensive clinical preparation, strategic planning, family coaching, and the mediation of the intervention itself.
Who will facilitate the intervention and what are their qualifications?
Your intervention will be led directly by Leeanne Nosko, RN, CARN, a highly qualified medical professional with 35 years of experience as a psychiatric and substance abuse Registered Nurse.
